Is Technology addiction or solution?





In today's world,there are many addictions.One of them which is very common among the people is technology addiction.Unfortunately most of us are addicted.We have lost our control on it so it enslaves us.It affects us physically,mentally and socially.
On the other hand,it makes our lives easy with its diverse and effective tools.Communication,learning,searching,assessing whatever we want,our routine life necessities as our shopping,ordering,self improvement,professional duties are time-wasting activities without technology.
With this project,we aim to raise awareness of students about technology.By the help of different web tools and studies,Students will learn eachother,decide whether they are addicted or not.They will think about the life without technology and criticize why it is inevitable.Therefore we hope they will improve a sense to be concious user of technology.

Aims

With this project we aim to:

  1. assess the level of our addiction of technology.
  2. search the effects of technology when it has become an addiction.
  3. show that technology is not addiction but solution for many areas in our lives,when it is used consciously.
  4. discover how to use technology as tool for learning and fullfilling necessities of our lives.
While applying the project:

  • Each school will improve its relations with students and their families.
  • Students will communicate and colloborate with their foreign peers.
  • Students will improve their language and ICT skills.
  • Students will increase their motivations and self-confidence by participating in groups and sharing their opinions as new generations.
  • Teachers will improve their language and ICT skills,colloborate with both national and foreign colleagues.
Work process

As a project family,for the sake of forming safe and well-balanced colloboration among members,we will obey etwinning codes of behaviour, study in colloboration by forming whats up group and arranging online meetings on project studies,plan our studies together and share as project plan, between December and May.

In December:
  • Forming project group
  • Choosing volunteer students
  • Planning project
  • Christmas resolutions.

In january:

  • Enrollment of our students
  • Orientation activities on padlets
  • They will introduce themselves and their schools
  • Survey on the project theme.
In february:

  • Assessment of survey’s results
  • Online meetings with students
  • Project's logo competition.
In March:

  • Students interview with their peers at school and maybe their teachers
  • Preparing a public spotlight film on technology addiction.
In April and May:

  • Preparing a billboard consisting useful applications and links
  • Poster study
In June:

  • Presentation of slogans
  • Preparing an online magazine on theme
  • Assessment of iour amazing project and future collaborations

Expected results

  • We want to study on whether the technology is addiction or solution.
  • We will follow our plan as I mention above.
  • At the end of the project we will prepare an online magazine or e-book including all of our studies.
  • We will present our e-book or magazine in twinspace page,eba,schools'web pages and our films on youtube.
  • With the activities done throughout the project,we aim to raise awareness of students on using technology consciously.
