Can we help? eTwinning project

 Can we help?

About the project

The goal of this project is to demonstrate how students can help during the pandemic of covid-19 in different ways. Can they help to each other, to other people, in hospital, elderly care houses, or explore other ways of help? We would like to share how students can help other people in daily life, to their neighbors, in hospital, elderly care houses etc. ... How our students can do good for other people (or everybody) despite their school responsibilities. Not only that but also to show that students are able to help their peers and younger students. There will also be a possibility for teachers who will want to participate and take on the challenge and help in any way in these difficult times.

Our project will run for the 2020-2021 academic year and students from partner schools will have the opportunity to make products, connect, explore and use innovative IT resources, innovations, and exchange new experiences. They will also learn new cultures and develop their abilities in foreign languages.

AIMS

The objective of this project is to document how students are able to offer their help to other people. We would like students to share their different ways of help, make some record/documentation of their work, use IT tools, technologies and share and compare all materials among participants from other international schools, then create a final product which will capture different ways of helping in partner countries. We would like students to learn how to communicate, analyze and solve challenges during a current pandemic, use analytic thinking with students from other institutions, and even within the team. In addition, they can apply communication, social, organizational skills, learning competencies, and job competencies while working on projects, and learn how to use modern IT resources and technology. Ultimately, we want students to be able to associate academic knowledge with practical skills. As well as, first getting to each other and then sharing ideas and experiences.

WORK PROCESS

Duration: November 2020 - June 2021

Frequency of Communication: once a month, using Twinspace, other social networks for our group work.
Students will lead creative interaction in groups and international teams.
Teachers will organize, guide, assist and teach skills.

Time frame/schedule:
November, December, January: Set up a team, make a plan; introduce town, school, students’ team, and participants of the project: Students will make and choose the best logo, and greetings for the Christmas
January 2021 – June 2021: other work among student's teams according to the project's plan

Learn about various IT tools and use them. Sharing activities and the timeline for each assignment and introduction of project items in Twinspace. Compare the skills and experiences of the learners. Having an evaluation survey for the project. Organizing and planning a finished product and an end-of-project webinar/on-line conference.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Students can learn to understand and appreciate each other through this project, develop different views of the world and see the differences among countries, improve their leadership skills, learn to engage, communicate, debate, exchange perspectives and experiences of their work, strengthen their foreign language skills and be able to use modern IT resources and technology. Share all materials in Twinspace. Improving expertise as a contemporary option through projects. Good experiences for teachers include expanding their technological knowledge, developing innovative work experiences, creating personal and career growth opportunities, shifting from self-reflection to motivation.
All members will make a final product of the project showing on how to provide various ways of helping in extraordinary circumstances in our lives.
In the future, we would like to continue cooperating with all the other partner schools in this project, for example by the KA1 or KA2 ERASMUS+ programs.
